Review: SUNSET ON A PUTTING 2CD (damagedgoods.co.uk)

Kindist: ALAN CLAYSON & THE ARGONAUTS

Ox-Fanzine/expenditure #63

Alan Clayson is a British journalist, who generally wrote innumerable Bandbiografien and books concerning Pop and skirt - and contrary to the very most music journalists also once in volume was, the ARGONAUTS. On these double CD now the work of the gentleman documented, on the one hand in the form of Studio Songs from the years 1973 to 1995 (CD1), on the other hand by means of a live with cut of a show from the year 1977 (CD2), which besides so far was unpublished. In the Booklet gibt's in unbelievably small writing detailed Linernotes, and if I am to dress the musical work of the gentleman into own words, then I describe it as folkigen Singer/Songwriter Pop, whereby others its names in a breath with Wreckless Eric, Tom Robinson, John Otway and Elvis Costello to call. I am afraid, I am unfortunately not old enough, in order to estimate that here so correct, and one must be probably Englishmen and beyond the 40 to have over hieran large joy...
